FlexTrades is seeking experienced Sub Arc Welders to join our team supporting the production of large wind tower sections. This work involves operating automated welding equipment, managing high volumes of flux, and monitoring weld quality while working from an elevated operator station.

Qualifications
- Required ability to read and follow detailed work instructions written in metric units.
- Required experience with sub arc welding processes on heavy steel materials.
- Required comfort working at heights of 12–20 feet for extended periods.
- Required ability to complete a hands-on weld test using provided instructions and equipment.
- Ability to handle multiple weld passes on thick steel sections, including repetitive cycles lasting 20 minutes or longer.
- Ability to work within production tracking systems to log job start/stop times and part information.
Responsibilities
- Operate automated sub arc welding equipment and manage weld parameters through a control screen.
- Weld circular and longitudinal seams on large steel tower sections while monitoring flux flow and weld quality.
- Work from a seated operator station positioned 12–20 feet above the ground for extended periods, depending on the weld type.
- Follow detailed work instructions, including weld settings, sequence steps, and safety guidelines.
- Move between sitting and standing to inspect weld seams and verify proper operation during each pass.
- Use remote-operated overhead cranes to position and transfer large steel sections during setup.
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $32/hour
- Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half
