Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and personable Servers and Bartenders to join our new, busy team in downtown Walnut Creek. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, take accurate orders, and serve food and beverages efficiently using Toast POS systems.
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including bar area, dining tables, and service stations, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or special promotions.
- Manage cash handling accurately at the register, process payments swiftly, and provide correct change while maintaining accountability.
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and creating a lively yet refined atmosphere suitable for both fine dining and nightlife settings.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a server or bartender in a restaurant or nightclub environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems is essential for order processing and sales tracking.
- Proven ability in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations to ensure guest health and safety.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively while managing multiple tables or bar stations efficiently.
- Experience in upselling beverages or menu items to maximize sales while enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including basic math for cash handling, food preparation techniques, and hospitality best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and guest engagement.
