Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pizza/Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a love for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Pizza/Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious pizzas while ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met. Weekend availability is a must, as those are our busiest times and when we need the most help. We ask that applicants plan to work weekends as part of their regular schedule. We also believe in cross training our team. The right candidate will have the opportunity to learn every area of the kitchen, giving you the skills to fill in where needed, pick up additional shifts, and grow with our team.
Duties
- Prepare and cook pizzas/food according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables and preparing sauces.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and taste.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling techniques.
- Participate in menu planning by providing input on new pizza recipes or specials.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Skills
- Experience in the restaurant or food service industry is preferred.
- Proficient in food preparation techniques, including knife skills.
- Knowledge of culinary practices related to pizza making and baking.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork in a busy kitchen environment.
- Familiarity with dietary needs and menu planning is a plus.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
