Multiple full-year and maternity leave coverage assignments are available, supporting students across K-12 settings with diverse needs. Assignments are on-site only, with full-time schedules (35 hours/week) and a primary focus on individualized education plans and targeted intervention.
You'll serve one to two campuses, collaborating with other SLPs, SLPAs, and multidisciplinary education teams. Caseloads span early childhood resource groups to high school students, including those in specialized ASD, EBD, or InD programs. Opportunities include working independently or as part of a strong, collegial SLP team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in Florida
- Prior school-based experience preferred
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively
- Adaptability to multiple school environments and varied caseloads
- Effective communication skills for parents, staff, and students
- Experience with PK-12 populations, including ASD/EBD/Ind settings, a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct SLP services (assessment, intervention, progress monitoring)
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with educational teams
- Document and report student progress per school district standards
- Provide support and guidance for SLPAs where applicable
- Foster an encouraging, inclusive learning environment
- Maintain professional records and complete required credentialing, including fingerprints
