American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a CICU position requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and SC or compact RN licensure.
-
Work in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) of a hospital setting
-
Cares for critically ill cardiac and multisystem organ dysfunction patients
-
Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
-
Weekend shifts required
-
Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
-
EPIC charting system preferred
-
Active RN license (SC or compact) required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted
-
Minimum 1 year of ICU/CICU experience required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
-
TNCC certification preferred
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, and blood product administration
-
Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning (ETT, NT)
-
Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and management of acute/chronic renal failure
-
Proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and continuous IV sedation
-
Experience with post cardiac surgery care, IABP, Impella, and pulmonary artery line monitoring
-
Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
-
Experience with IV insulin protocols and infection prevention/isolation precautions
-
Two supervisory references required for consideration

Copy of certifications, driver's license, and Social Security card required for consideration

Provide direct bedside care to critically ill cardiac patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
-
Collaborate with the care team to manage complex cardiovascular, respiratory, and renal conditions

Local candidates accepted at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
-
Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility unless applying as a local
-
Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 5 years to be eligible as a travel candidate
-
RTO should be kept to a minimum, with no time off requested during the first two weeks of the assignment
-
Any time off requests must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment

Some holiday coverage is expected during the assignment
