We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients and dishes that delight our guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist with menu planning by preparing components needed for daily specials and regular menu items.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently cooking, plating, and serving food items.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients for upcoming service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and excellent food presentation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience with a focus on quality and safety.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques are essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is required.
- Experience with menu planning, catering, or serving in a food industry setting is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
