The Windsor Senior Living Community is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and service-oriented Transportation Driver / Bistro Attendant to join our team. This unique position combines safely transporting residents to appointments and outings with providing exceptional customer service in our resident bistro.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the General Manager and Food Service Director, the Transportation Driver / Bistro Attendant is responsible for providing safe, courteous transportation for residents while also assisting with daily bistro operations. This role plays an important part in enhancing our residents' quality of life through outstanding customer service both on the road and within our community.
Essential ResponsibilitiesTransportation Duties
- Safely transport residents to physician appointments, shopping trips, and community outings.
- Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle.
- Secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility equipment.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including fuel levels, tire condition, and overall cleanliness.
- Report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Ensure all passengers wear seat belts before driving.
- Follow all traffic laws and practice defensive driving.
- Maintain a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude with residents and families.
- Communicate promptly with management in the event of emergencies or vehicle concerns.
- Assist with resident activities and other departments as needed.
Bistro Attendant Duties
- Welcome residents and guests with friendly, attentive service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Serve food and beverages promptly.
- Deliver prepared meals when needed.
- Set, reset, and clean tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bistro.
- Assist with stocking supplies and keeping service areas presentable.
- Work closely with the Food Service Director to ensure excellent resident satisfaction.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Valid chauffeur's license (or willingness to obtain) with a safe driving record.
- Must meet company insurance requirements for drivers.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and organized.
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, senior living, or customer service is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
- Ability to assist residents in and out of vehicles.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and stand throughout the workday.
- Ability to load and unload wheelchairs, walkers, groceries, and other resident belongings.
- Ability to work around cleaning chemicals and occasionally be exposed to body fluids or other healthcare-related environments.
