Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, cages, and animal areas to promote optimal health and hygiene standards
- Assist with animal handling, restraint, and feeding to ensure safety and comfort during daily routines
- Help with animal husbandry tasks such as bathing, grooming, and monitoring for signs of illness or distress
- Manage front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and providing excellent customer service
- Observe animals closely to identify behavioral or health issues, reporting findings promptly to management
Skills
- Prior kennel experience or animal care background preferred; strong animal handling skills essential
- Experience with pet care routines
- Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly to ensure safety for animals and staff
- Skilled in animal restraint techniques for dogs and cats helpful
- Familiarity with animal care operations including front desk duties and client communication
