For this COTA position responsibilities include:
- Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct patient care and monitor patient progress
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patients' needs and develop appropriate treatment goals
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Experience:
- 2+ years experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and protocols
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address patients' unique needs and challenges
- Ability to adapt treatment plans based on individual patient progress and changing circumstances
- Proficiency in using therapeutic equipment and tools relevant to occupational therapy practice
Please note that certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required for this position. Must have AZ license.
Pay: $62.00 - $66.00 per hour
