Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Injection Molding Plastic Process Technician (Troubleshooter) on our 2nd and 3rd shift! In this energetic role, you will be the go-to expert for optimizing and maintaining our plastics injection molding processes, ensuring top-quality production and minimal downtime. Duties
- Comply with safety rules and regulations. Perform all duties in a safe efficient manner.
- Monitor machines, making adjustments to process parameters using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize cycle times, part quality, and machine performance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex issues related to plastics injection molding equipment, including presses and auxiliary systems, analyzing mechanical, electric, and hydraulic systems to correct processes as required.
- Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments to ensure parts meet specifications
- Perform shut down process of injection molding machine and purge of material
Qualifications
- Proven experience, at least 3 years in plastics injection molding processes with a strong understanding of high-performance polymers and their reactivity to heats, speed, and pressure.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment such as injection molding machines, oil heaters, water chiller, etc.
- Proficient with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for process control adjustments
- Ability to perform precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments for quality control purposes
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering troubleshooting and equipment diagnostics
- Reading and comprehension of blue prints, product specifications to interpret and communicate information
- Accurately apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish face, and use judgement to draw valid conclusions.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency
- Requires light physical demand in walking, bending, reaching and moving of equipment and materials, exerting up to 25 pounds of force.
- Ability to work safely with hand tools and industrial equipment while adhering to safety protocols

Pay: $25.25 - $36.80 per hour
