Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and incorporate curriculum development best practices.
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and educational technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and track student progress.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of infants’ developmental milestones using assessment-driven instruction techniques and analyze student performance data to tailor interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on instructional design, classroom management, and academic interventions to support diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities.
- Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring safety, positive behavior management, and conflict resolution among young children.
- Apply knowledge of Montessori methods and other educational philosophies to create enriching learning experiences tailored for infants’ unique developmental stages.
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations and licensing requirements while fostering a nurturing environment that promotes literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings, including preschool or toddler care.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with assessment tools, student data analysis, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) to inform instructional decisions.
- Experience integrating learning technology and LMS platforms into classroom activities for enhanced engagement.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, families, and specialists in special education or therapeutic services.
- Knowledge of educational compliance standards and regulations relevant to early childhood programs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans focused on physical education, library services, or other specialized areas as needed.
