Position Summary: To accomplish their primary goal of creating and welding metal parts and assemblies, must read and understand engineering blueprints and plans to know exactly what is required of any project. Produce quality parts to meet customer deadlines and requirements
Be productive in a team setting
Conduct quality checks on fabricated parts
Ability to operate different tools such as height gauge, mics & caliper
Become familiar with all facets of the metal fabrication department which includes, but is not limited to, robotic welders, break presses, lasers, and manual welding
Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean work areas.
Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Discard scrap metal
Specific Direction: Follows established work procedures. Receives periodic checks for performance. Refers unique questions/conditions to immediate supervisor.
High School diploma or GED
Ability to read and understand blueprints
5+ years of experience
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes.
Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Experience with a tube laser or flat laser is a plus
