Part time position available. The location operating hours are Monday - Saturday 9:00AM to 5:00PM and you will be expected to work 2~3 days per week.
This position is part of a family owned and operated real estate company with locations in Santa Fe, Albuquerque and Roswell. This position is at our Albuquerque location is a potential path to a full time site manager position.
The ideal applicant will enjoy working with people, answering and responding to tenant phone calls, taking payments and maintaining a clean facility in good repair. This is an independent, self-directed position requiring dedication, self-motivation and ability to be effective without daily supervision.
Computer skills are required for this job. Property maintainance and management experience and ideally self storage experience are a plus. Prior sales and customer service is also beneficial such as retail sales, hospitality industry, car rental or similar customer focused jobs.
Other requirements include being able to lift, carry, bend, sweep, have reliable transportation, insurance and a valid driver’s license. High school diploma or GED is required, college or vocational training is a strong plus, as well as general maintenance knowledge. Bilingual English/Spanish is also a plus.
Duties:
- Develop excellent customer relationships through excellent customer service and professional interactions by phone, and in person as needed.
- Identifying the storage needs of prospective tenants and providing guidance to select the correct size unit(s).
- Grow sales with prospective and existing customers through marketing, unit rentals, promoting insurance coverage, and retail sales.
- Guide customers through rental processes and agreements.
- Maintain the facilities curb appeal and function (i.e. maintenance up to ability, cleaning units, sweeping, painting, changing light bulbs, etc.).
- Work independently on a day to day basis, but work with the team to be supported all the properties.
- Short distance trips for supplies, mailing, bank deposits and other errands for the facility.
