Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a stimulating and supportive environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, promoting positive interactions and respect among children.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships in supporting each child's development.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child welfare and developmental milestones.
- Oversee classroom management tasks such as lesson planning, activity setup, safety checks, and maintaining a clean, organized learning space.
- Collaborate with colleagues on special education needs, early intervention strategies, and individualized support plans to meet diverse learner requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
- Must have Level 2 and above in PDIS Colorado Shines
- Strong knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, standardized testing, and childhood development principles.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to lead lesson planning sessions and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Prior experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
