PhD Dental is looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist who is motivated to help our patients promote good oral health practices in ALL of our locations.
Locations: East LA, Inglewood, Lynwood, Pico Rivera, Compton, Norwalk, and Westchester.
Job Responsibilities:
- Patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, and dental oral cancer screening.
- Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth
- Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health, tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling.
- Counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health
- Charting dental conditions based on observations and evaluations
- Assisting the Doctor with educating patients of their options for orthodontic services and dental treatment.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Dental Hygiene
- State certification/license is required to work as a Dental Hygienist
- Must be Denti-Cal provider
- Preferred one year or more of relevant experience in the dental industry; but open to no experience for the right candidate.
Pay Range:
$55.00 - $90.00 BOE
