Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) opportunity in Chicago, Illinois. This local position involves night shifts working every other weekend in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role requires recent acute care Pediatric RRT experience with a focus on patient-centered critical care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) license, State of Illinois license (or ability to apply at time of offer), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU assignments, minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Critical Care RRT experience (PICU/NICU/CCU), recent acute care Pediatric RRT experience within the current year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience, ability to work across NICU, PICU, CCU, and acute care floors.
- Additional Information: Orientation sessions are held every Monday. No IVS; candidates are directly scheduled with manager. Dress code is scrubs in any color, including kid-friendly options. The patient ratio is based on a points system. The EMR system is EPIC. Vaccination documentation for Flu and Covid, including doses and lot numbers, must be provided at submission; declinations are not accepted.
