We are a growing psychiatric group dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health care with a strong focus on innovative treatments like Spravato (esketamine) for treatment-resistant depression. We are seeking a reliable and experienced part-time front and back office Medical Assistant to join our compassionate, patient-centered team. Expected hours for this part-time position are Monday-Friday 12pm - 5:30pm.
Job Summary:
As a Medical Assistant you will play a key role in assisting patients throughout their treatment process, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols. This position is ideal for someone passionate about mental health and interested in working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors as they arrive in office
- Perform patient check in/check out procedures
- Answer phones, assist with inquiries and appointment scheduling and confirmations
- Insurance verification (as needed)
- Ensure office is tidy and presentable
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Accurately input patient data with high attention to detail
- Maintain all records in accordance with HIPAA and internal confidentiality requirements
- Assist with patient intake, including vital signs and documentation
- Monitor patients during Spravato treatments under medical supervision
- Track patient progress and side effects according to REMS protocol
- Provide support to medical staff for smooth daily operations
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the treatment process
- Other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
- CPR certification
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in the medical field, previous experience in mental health is ideal but not required
- Excellent communication, observation, and documentation skills
- A positive vibe and the ability to work well both independently and as a collaborative, reliable part of a team
- Familiarity with Spravato or esketamine treatment protocols is a strong plus
Pay: $21 - $25 per hour, commensurate with applicable experience
