We are looking to hire a Medical Biller with a background in medical coding and a desire to work in a dynamic medical environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring insurance claims and identify financial discrepancies, provide administrative support to the company as well as assist with the overall financial process. We're looking for a hardworking individual who is committed to helping patients, as well as helping our doctors achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
- File insurance claims electronically.
- Review insurance claims and make corrections to them as necessary.
- Research medical codes for services provided to patients and insurance providers to ensure that correct codes are used on claims.
- Communicate with other professionals about patient care.
- Analyze medical bills to determine the amount that should be billed for a patient visit.
- Prepare a financial statement at the end of each month.
- Verify Insurance Plans
- Communicate with patients regarding billing inquires
- Payment posting
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding, including CPT coding and medical terminology
- Proficiency with billing software, EHR/EMR systems, and medical office operations
- Strong health insurance knowledge, claims submission, and payer communications
- Familiarity with medical records management and financial close/reporting related to billing
- Knowledge of DRG, ICD-9/ICD coding (premium skills) and ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Excellent attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and patient interaction skills
