Nekter Juice Bar is looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Food Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will welcome guests, take food and beverage orders, prepare and serve fresh juices, smoothies, bowls, and other menu items, process payments, and maintain a clean and inviting service area.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, learns quickly, pays attention to detail, and can provide excellent service in a fast-paced food service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and create a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders at the counter and through the POS system.
- Prepare and serve juices, smoothies, acai bowls, snacks, and other menu items according to company standards.
- Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and available options.
- Communicate special requests and dietary concerns accurately to the preparation team.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, credit/debit card, and other payments accurately.
- Provide customers with correct orders in a timely and friendly manner.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked counters, workstations, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene procedures at all times.
- Restock ingredients, cups, utensils, packaging, and other supplies as needed.
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and daily restaurant preparation duties.
- Check food and beverage presentation before serving customers.
- Work closely with team members to keep service efficient during busy periods.
- Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and notify management when necessary.
- Follow company policies, recipes, portion standards, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous food service, cashier, restaurant, or customer service experience is preferred but not always required.
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-service-oriented personality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using a POS system and handling customer payments.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and food presentation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive food preparation tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
