Contract Administrator III
Help Deliver One of California's Largest Higher Education Construction Programs
Project Support Services (PSS) is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator III to support the Los Angeles Community College District's (LACCD) Project Management Office (PMO).
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement and contract administration professional who thrives in a highly organized, fast-paced environment supporting major public construction projects.
As a member of the PMO Contracts Team, you'll play a critical role in coordinating competitive procurements, preparing contract documents, managing bid processes, and ensuring compliance with California public contracting requirements. Your work will directly support the successful delivery of campus modernization and capital improvement projects across one of the nation's largest community college districts.

What You'll Do
- Coordinate with District staff, Project Managers, College Project Teams, and consultants to prepare procurement packages for construction and professional services.
- Manage competitive procurement and consultant selection processes from planning through contract award.
- Prepare procurement documents, addenda, evaluation packages, award recommendations, contract documents, and approval packages.
- Coordinate procurements for general contractors, Design-Build teams, architects, engineers, inspectors, and professional consultants.
- Track procurement schedules, milestones, approvals, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate procurement files and contract documentation.
- Ensure strict compliance with District policies, procurement procedures, and applicable California laws.
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure procurement packages are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Manage multiple procurement processes simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the successful delivery of capital improvement projects.
- Prepare reports and procurement status updates for District leadership.
- Perform additional contract administration duties as assigned to support the needs of the PMO Contracts Team.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in one or more of the following:
- Construction contract administration
- Public procurement
- Construction procurement
- Competitive bidding and contract management
- Public agency capital improvement programs
Education
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Business Administration
- Public Administration
- Construction Management
- Engineering
- Architecture
- Or a closely related field
Additional qualifying experience beyond the minimum requirement may substitute for the education requirement.
Desired Knowledge & Skills
We're looking for candidates with experience and knowledge of:
- Public procurement and competitive bidding processes
- Construction and professional services contracts
- California Public Contract Code
- California Community College procurement practices
- Design-Build procurement methods
- Electronic bidding platforms such as PlanetBids
- Project management software including Proliance or Trimble
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
- Contract document preparation and administration
- Procurement reporting and document tracking
- Quality assurance and audit compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with exceptional attention to detail
- Professionalism, integrity, and a strong customer service mindset
