What you'll do
- Prepare sandwiches, breakfast items and other cafe favorites.
- Use our easy-to-learn turbo ovens and kitchen equipment
- Keep the kitchen and prep area clean and organized
- Work efficiently and manage time well during busy periods
- Help create a great experience for every customer
Other Responsibilities you may have
- Greet customers as they enter
- Give customers food and drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios, food modifications)
- Prepare food and beverages following recipes
- Serve beverages and prepare food, cookies, pastries and muffins
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- Keep the bar area clean
- Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
- Maintain stock of food and keep prep areas clean and sanitary.
- Check if equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Complete cleaning tasks assigned to your position
- Communicate well with the team to put inventory away
Skills
- Previous work experience in food service
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Basic math skills
- Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- High school diploma; relevant training is a plus
