Job Title: Shift Leader
Direct contact and resource for all store team members on lead shifts. Reports directly to General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assigning positions to team members and clearly outlining responsibilities to maximize efficiency on shift and find coverage for callouts or fill in positions as needed
- Responsible for monitoring and verifying completition of employee tasks
- Responsible for ensuring excellent customer service and food quality on shifts
Policy Adherence- Shift Leader is responsible for adherence by staff to establish guidelines and procedures including, but not limited to:
- Proper food-handling and cool-down procedures
- Appearance and dress code
- Customer service
- Food quality
- Recipe adherence
- Staff safety
- Shift audit completion
- Proper closing and opening procedures
Food Cost Management- Shift Leader is responsible for managing food cost concerns including, but not limited to:
- Food waste
- Portion control
- Order accuracy
- Upselling at POS
- Credits and refunds
Environment- Shift Leader is responsible for managing and facilitating a work and dining environment consistent with Tropical Grille, including, but not limited to
- Cleanliness
- Staff morale
- Music
- Staff language and behavior
- Guest experience
- Customer service
Expectations-
- Shift Leader is expected to communicate often with Store Management Team.
- Shift Leader is expected to be proactive in facilitating and encouraging staff communication
- Shift Leader is expected to be proactive in addressing all concerns involving scheduling, positional training, hiring, policy adherence, food cost management, and environment to Store Management Team.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
