Job Summary
We are seeking an engaging and client-centered Part-Time Nutritionist to provide nutrition education, counseling, and wellness support across multiple program sites. This role will focus on conducting workshops, client coaching, nutrition guidance, and supporting healthy food access initiatives for diverse community members.
The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, comfortable traveling between sites, and passionate about educating individuals and families on practical healthy living strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition workshops, cooking demonstrations, and wellness education sessions for clients
- Provide one-on-one and group nutrition counseling, including support for diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and other chronic conditions
- Develop and distribute client-friendly nutrition materials, recipes, meal guides, and healthy eating resources
- Train staff and volunteers on nutrition basics and healthy food distribution practices
- Assess food inventory and recommend improvements to nutritional offerings
- Support development of meal planning tools and healthy food purchasing recommendations
- Serve as liaison between program sites, staff, and community partners
- Travel to multiple sites as needed to deliver services and support programming
- Complete weekly billing, invoicing, documentation, and required reporting in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required
- A New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) license or equivalent required
- Experience providing nutrition education and health coaching
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience working with diverse, community-based populations
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage a flexible schedule
- Ability to work in multiple client platforms
- Comfortable traveling between sites
- Bilingual (English/Haitian Creole) preferred
- HIPAA trained preferred

- Part-Time: 20 hours per week
- Flexible schedule required
- Must be available for Saturday hours
- Multi-site travel required
