Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Commercial Plumber to oversee and execute complex plumbing projects within commercial construction environments. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of commercial plumbers, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship on all projects
- Interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing installations and repairs
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of domestic water systems, HVAC connections, and heavy-duty piping systems in accordance with building code compliance
- Conduct construction estimating for plumbing components, materials, and labor to support project planning and budgeting
- Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, safety standards, and construction regulatory compliance requirements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and other mechanical devices to complete tasks effectively
- Perform site inspections, quality control checks, and troubleshoot issues related to plumbing systems during construction or field service activities
- Coordinate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC teams to ensure seamless integration of building systems
- Maintain detailed documentation including construction plans, schematics, inspection reports, and compliance records
- Support remodeling, maintenance projects, and field service operations as needed to meet project deadlines
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction estimating and project planning within commercial plumbing environments
- Strong knowledge of construction plumbing systems, including heavy piping, domestic water systems, HVAC connections, and schematics
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings such as blueprints and schematics for accurate installation
- Deep understanding of building code analysis and compliance with local building codes and construction regulations
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and assembly tools for various tasks
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing fixtures, pipe fitting techniques, pipe threading, and system troubleshooting
- Ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining safety standards on construction sites
- Experience with remodeling projects or handyman tasks involving plumbing or carpentry skills
- Familiarity with construction site experience including heavy lifting, material handling, and working at heights or confined spaces
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe sizes or system capacities
- Knowledge of HVAC systems integration with plumbing components is a plus
- Valid commercial driving license preferred for site visits or material transport roles
