Duties
- Coordinate and oversee funeral arrangements from initial consultation to service completion, ensuring personalized and respectful ceremonies.
- Provide compassionate bereavement support and clear communication to families during difficult times.
- Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while transporting bodies using company vehicles or equipment.
- Plan and execute funeral events, including logistics, venue setup, and coordination with clergy or celebrants.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures, documentation, and compliance with health and safety regulations related to sanitation.
- Operate funeral service technology systems for scheduling, record-keeping, and client management to streamline operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in funeral directing or mortuary science.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple funeral arrangements efficiently.
- Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to bereavement support.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate company vehicles responsibly.
- Familiarity with funeral event planning, dissection procedures, and sanitation standards within a mortuary setting.
- Certifications or licenses related to mortuary science or funeral directing are preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for qualified candidates.
