American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position working night shifts at a hospital in Wichita, KS, with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required dysrhythmia interpretation skills.

Located on the 3rd floor of the main building at a hospital in Wichita, KS

8-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Staffing model includes 2 RNs and 1 PCT per shift
-
Patient ratio of 1:4
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Equipment used includes EKG, BiPAP/CPAP, heated high flow, and cardiac/respiratory monitors
-
EMR system: Meditech
-
Procedures include cardiac monitoring, medication management, respiratory support, post-surgical care, and blood transfusions
-
13-week contract
-
Active KS RN license or compact RN license required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 2 years of acute care experience; at least 1 year must be in a PCU setting

Dysrhythmia interpretation skills required

US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

BSN preferred

Leadership experience, such as relief charge, is preferred

Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach are valued on this unit

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

AHA or ARC certifications accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
