Plating Technology is seeking a dependable, safety-focused CDL-A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This position operates dedicated regional routes throughout the Midwest using assigned late-model Freightliner sleeper tractors.

Schedule
- Dedicated Sunday afternoon through Thursday schedule
- Rotating routes with a predictable weekly schedule
- Week 1: Approximately 60 hours (Sunday-Thursday) 3-nights OTR - Chicagoland
- Week 2: Approximately 40 hours (Monday-Thursday) 2-nights OTR- Chicagoland
- Week 3: Approximately 40 hours (Monday-Friday) Home Every Evening - Indiana/Detroit
What You'll Do
Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle in accordance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Transport customer freight on scheduled dedicated routes
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Ensure cargo is properly secured
- Verify shipping paperwork and delivery documentation
- Complete ELD logs and required transportation paperwork
- Observe Hours of Service regulations
- Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance concerns
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance for assigned equipment
- Maintain a clean truck interior and exterior
- Report accidents, incidents, delays, or equipment issues promptly
Routes & Equipment
- Dedicated routes serving suburban Chicago, Central Indiana and Detroit
- Dedicated (2024 and Newer) Freightliner sleeper tractors
- Automatic transmissions
- No-touch freight
- Company fuel card and approved company credit card
- Electronic Logging Device (ELD) system
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Safe driving record
- Current DOT Medical Certificate
- Meet DOT/FMCSA requirements
- Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing and Clearinghouse requirements
- Professional attitude and strong attention to safety
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year CDL-A commercial driving experience
- Regional or dedicated route experience
- Experience operating sleeper tractors
