Overview
Looking for a breakfast line cook with Weekend Availability. Shift normally begins at approximately 5:45am-2:45pm. Ability to learn multiple stations is a plus as well as being bilingual. Being reliable as well as working well with a team is required.
Possibility for more shifts if candidate is also available to work dinner hours. Currently not serving dinner but planning to begin dinner by the end of the summer.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures.
- Support food preparation activities, including chopping, marinating, plating, and garnishing dishes with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment sanitation and proper storage of ingredients.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours while maintaining high standards of food presentation.
- Contribute to catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of meals efficiently and safely.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required.
- Strong culinary experience with proficiency in cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal preparation.
- Knowledge of the food industry standards related to food safety, handling, and sanitation practices.
- Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus, especially if involved in menu planning or specialized meal prep.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
