This is a part-time and/or full-time summer instructor position for grades 5-8. We are seeking an engaging, flexible, and experienced teacher for our after-school program, and possible day program. The ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching a variety of subjects to elementary-aged children. An instructor will need to manage a class of 8-15 students. This includes behavior management, maintaining COVID compliance, lesson planning, assessments (Projects and other types), creative thinking, and patience.
- At least one of teaching experience in education or related educational programs are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related fields preferred.
- California teacher certificate preferred
- Have strong editing ability and creativity
- Familiar with Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
- Engaging, patient, and has high standards
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Warm personality with strong communication skills.
- Legal to work in the United States
- Strong in English & Math. (grade 5 - 8 level)
- Weekends open for Reading & Writing class.
Reports directly to the Education Director.

Salary: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
