Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing transactions efficiently while handling cash and credit payments securely.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously by practicing excellent time management skills to deliver prompt service.
- Assist with food service duties during busy periods, including serving food, refilling drinks, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Uphold all health regulations related to food safety, alcohol service, and sanitation practices in a nightclub or banquet environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or server in fine dining, nightclub, banquet, or food service settings; previous retail math or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling techniques, and beverage preparation methods including brewing basics if applicable.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math scenarios.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment such as a nightclub or catering event.
- Nice-to-have skills include banquet experience, catering knowledge, retail math proficiency, experience with food industry operations, and familiarity with brewing processes.
