1:1 Special Education Student Aide
As a 1:1 Special Education Student Aide, you will partner directly with a classroom teacher to provide a structured, nurturing, and supportive learning environment for a student who needs individualized attention. Your patience, empathy, and structured guidance can completely transform a student’s educational journey.
What You’ll Do:
Personalized Support: Work 1:1 with an assigned student, helping them navigate lessons, schedules, and classroom materials in collaboration with the teacher.
Classroom Collaboration: Assist the classroom teacher with special projects, daily lessons, and securing classroom supplies to keep things running smoothly.
Progress Tracking: Maintain essential documentation, including anecdotal notes, incident reports, and tutoring updates to track your student's growth.
Teamwork: Partner flexibly with the teacher, Principal, and Assistant Principal to ensure a safe, positive atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus!
The Right Heart & Mindset: You must have experience working with students who exhibit impulsive or aggressive behaviors. We need a team member who is exceptionally patient, understanding, and able to respond to challenging behaviors with a calm, nurturing demeanor.
Structure & Care: The ability to maintain boundaries while providing a high level of emotional and academic support.
