Rice Tire is accepting applications for an experienced OTR Tire Technician!
The ideal applicant will work on large OTR tires and may have a need to run road calls, day and/or night.
Responsibilities:
- Mount, dismount, repair and/or replace massive OTR Tires on heavy equipment such as loader, graders, agricultural machinery, mining trucks, etc.
- Perform tire repairs for equipment in a culture that promotes Stop Work Authority (OSHA program) to ensure the safety of employees, customers and/or the public
- Drive to various locations/jobsites as needed, maintaining a valid driver's license, complying with DOT rules and regulations
- Safely handle large tires and specialized tools, including hydraulic equipment and tire-changing machinery
- Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders in a timely manner
Work Environment:
- Outdoor and indoor work varying weather conditions
- Exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials
- Frequent travel to customer job sites
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to perform in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- Comfortable working at heights and around large equipment
- Able to lift 75-100 lbs. and perform physically demanding work
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Must possess a valid DOT medical card or be able to become medically qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
- Acceptable pre-employment drug screening
Desired Qualifications:
- Heavy equipment or diesel mechanical experience
- Safety conscious, respectful, honest, strong work ethic, and enjoys being part of a team

Pay Range: $38 - $48 an hour total compensation ($24 - $27/hour base + Industry Leading Commission Program + Overtime)
