About the Role
Guide Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Mentor/Direct Support Professional to support an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supported living setting. This is a one-on-one, community-based role focused on helping an individual build independence, life skills, and confidence while staying active in their community.

Responsibilities
As a Mentor, you will teach and assist in the following areas:
· Building independent cooking skills (meal plan, prep, and cook)
· Searching for employment and building employment skills
· Maintaining a clean and organized home
· Guidance with budgeting and paying bills.
· Encourage personal hygiene and appearance.
· Nutrition- Planning and preparing meals, shopping and safe food storage.
· Guidance with budgeting and paying bills.
· Support the importance of family and friends and respect of others.

Comprehensive training and ongoing supports will be provided to help you suceed and feel
Minimum Requirements
- US Work Authorization
- Must be 19 years or older
- Valid Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years with no major violations
- High School Diploma or GED
- Dependable motor vehicle with a minimum liability limit of $100,000 or split limit of $100,000/$300,000
- Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Dependability, ability to maintain good attendance
Preferred Experience
