American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma Center in Chicago, IL, requiring 3 years of CT experience and ARRT certification.

Work in a CT department at a 397-bed Level I Trauma Center, Level III Perinatal Center, Magnet-designated, Comprehensive Stroke Center teaching hospital in Chicago, IL
-
Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, and ED cases, including trauma and stroke
-
1:1 patient ratio with an average of 15 scans per day
-
GE CT equipment required; image processing handled by a third-party service
-
Charting via Epic (experience required); Alaris and Pyxis also used
-
10-hour evening shifts, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday with alternating weekend rotation
-
No on-call or call-back requirements
-
No floating required
-
Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience, with most recent experience within the last year
-
Active ARRT certification and BLS required
-
Active license required if applicable

Proficiency with IV skills and power injection required

Experience with GE CT equipment required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced trauma and stroke environment

Minimum 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the last year

Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Candidate's middle name or initial required for consideration

First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restrictions apply

Unit support includes a receptionist on day shift, a hospitalist/physician available after hours, and both transport and tech aides

Radiology coverage provided by an on-site resident

1-day on-unit orientation

Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved

Holiday coverage expected when possible

Gray scrubs required
