Duties and responsibilities for this role include:
- Serves patients by greeting them professionally both in person and on the phone, answering routine questions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
- Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling, check in and check out
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of a patient’s arrival and informing providers of delays.
- Confirming patient's insurance and eligibility
- Verifying financial records and collecting patient copay and charges
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Takes detailed messages as needed and properly refers questions and issues
- Minimizes patients’ stress by anticipating their anxieties, answering questions, and maintaining a calm and orderly environment in the reception area.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Collects, sorts, distributes, or prepares mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
EMR experience required

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
