Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer specializing in CNC programming to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC machine programs to ensure precision, efficiency, and quality in production processes. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support tooling and machining operations, and collaborate closely with design and production teams to deliver high-quality components. Responsibilities
- Develop and write CNC programs for various machining centers including CNC lathes and milling machines using CAM software such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining operations.
- Optimize machining processes through lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall productivity.
- Set up and calibrate CNC equipment, including electrical discharge machining (EDM), coordinate measuring machines (CMM), bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining issues by analyzing tooling conditions, geometry tolerances, and machine performance; implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with design engineers to review CAD models and schematics for manufacturability; suggest improvements for tooling and process flow.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, tooling specifications, and inspection reports to ensure traceability and compliance with quality standards.
What they need to be able to do:
- Perform all Machinist and Setup responsibilities
- Program parts using CAD/CAM
- Go from drawing or model to finished product independently
- Set up, prove out, and run their own programs
- Troubleshoot complex machining and process issues
- Support and guide machinists on the floor
Stronger candidates will also have:
- Experience with Mazatrol (Mazak) or PartMaker (Swiss)
- Medical device or regulated manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting new product introduction
Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
