What You'll Do
Every day is different! As a Retail Sales Associate, you'll help create a welcoming shopping experience while keeping our store organized and fully stocked.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and assisting customers with a friendly, positive attitude
- Operating the cash register and processing transactions
- Sorting, inspecting, pricing, tagging, and hanging merchandise according to store standards
- Learning our buying process and evaluating gently used children's items
- Restocking and organizing the sales floor
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store
- Working collaboratively with teammates to meet daily goals
What We're Looking For
We're looking for team members who are:
- Friendly, outgoing, and dependable

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Able to multitask and stay organized
- Reliable and punctual
- Available to work at least 15 hours per week
Weekend availability is required, as weekends are our busiest shopping days.

We are currently hiring for a variety of shifts.
Store Hours
- Monday–Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Open availability is a plus but not required.

Once Upon A Child buys and sells gently used children's clothing, shoes, toys, baby equipment, books, and more. We help families save money while giving quality items a second life. If you've heard of Plato's Closet, think of us as the children's version!
Physical Requirements
To perform this role successfully, applicants should be able to:
- Stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift
- Lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
- Bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the sales floor and stock areas
- Operate a computerized point-of-sale system
