Position Overview
The Arizona Game & Fish Department (AZGFD) is seeking an experienced Application Developer to design, develop, and support secure web and mobile applications. This role involves building new applications, enhancing existing systems, troubleshooting production issues, and delivering offline-capable mobile solutions that support the agency's transition to a digital, paperless environment. The selected candidate will work closely with project managers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience with SQL (Expert level)
- 3+ years of experience with C#
- 5+ years of experience with AWS
- 3+ years of experience in Mobile Application Development
- Experience developing web and mobile applications
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience writing technical documentation
- Knowledge of application security best practices

- Experience with offline mobile applications using SQLite or Realm
- Experience with Native, Hybrid, or Progressive Web Apps (PWAs)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop secure web and mobile applications from business requirements through production.
- Design and build native, hybrid, or PWA mobile applications with offline functionality.
- Implement local data storage using technologies such as SQLite or Realm and synchronize data securely when connectivity is restored.
- Enhance existing applications by implementing new features and resolving defects.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical support.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and maintenance plans.
- Collaborate with project managers and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain application security and follow established security standards.
- Train team members on supported applications when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
