Purpose and Scope of Position
The Deli & Retail Manager oversees all operations at the Wheat Montana Three Forks Deli and Retail Store, ensuring efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role is responsible for front-of-house (FOH), back-of-house (BOH), and retail store operations, including staff management, purchasing, inventory control, food safety, and financial performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Staff Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise employees across all areas, ensuring adherence to company policies and high service standards.

Operational Oversight: Manage food preparation, cooking, packaging, and counter operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with food safety regulations.

Inventory & Purchasing: Maintain stock levels, oversee product rotation, minimize waste, and ensure accurate pricing and labeling of deli and retail products.

Financial Management: Analyze profit and loss statements, track sales, and implement strategies to improve performance and control costs.

Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive and welcoming store environment.

Sales & Promotions: Develop and execute promotional strategies to increase sales and attract new customers.

Facility Maintenance & Compliance: Ensure cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and adherence to food safety and workplace safety standards.

Reporting & Administration: Complete necessary reports, track inventory, and ensure compliance with company policies and operational goals.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED equivalency, associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred

5+ years of restaurant/retail experience, with at least 3 years in the food industry.

3+ years of experience leading and developing teams.
