Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers efficiently, accurately handling cash, credit/debit card transactions, and mobile payments while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
- Manage retail sales transactions smoothly, ensuring all purchases are processed correctly using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining store cleanliness to ensure products are well-presented and accessible.
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone.
- Support inventory management through stock checks, product replenishment, and participating in stocktaking activities.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations for seamless transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone.
- Experience with retail sales transactions, retail math, and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for balancing cash drawers and calculating totals.
- Comfortability with speaking to customers while processing a transaction.
