Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate RN Weekend Supervisor / Floor Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team day shift, and 3-11 LPN/RN . In this vital leadership role, you will oversee patient care and medication administration activities during weekend shifts, ensuring high-quality nursing services are delivered efficiently and safely. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate patient assessments, and maintain compliance with healthcare standards. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses extensive clinical expertise across diverse care settings.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during weekend shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care delivery
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform treatment plans
- Oversee medication administration, IV infusion procedures, catheter care, and other clinical interventions in accordance with medical orders and safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterile processing procedures to uphold safety standards
- Manage emergency situations including airway management, ventilator support, or acute pain management with confidence and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current state registration; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Proven supervisory or team management experience within a healthcare setting
- Extensive clinical experience in acute care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I/II trauma centers
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR : we use PCC
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, behavioral health patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs
- Ability to handle complex patient assessments involving diagnostic evaluation and tube feeding management
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to team leadership and patient advocacy
