Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of diesel technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and brake systems with precision and attention to detail
- Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and HVAC components.
- Oversee vehicle systems repairs such as brake repair, wheel alignment, tire service, and wheel assembly to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct fabrication and welding tasks for equipment modifications or repairs using power tools and hand tools.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist in training junior technicians on diagnostic procedures, equipment repair techniques, and safety protocols to build a highly skilled team.Qualifications
- Proven dealership or heavy equipment repair experience with a strong background in diesel mechanics.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair including transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electrical testing tools.
- Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and service technician responsibilities.
- Proficiency in welding, fabrication, tire service, and equipment maintenance tasks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude complemented by excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and performing manual tasks over extended periods; familiarity with safety procedures is essential.
