As a key player in our utility operations, you will be responsible for monitoring, controlling, and maintaining water treatment processes to deliver clean water to our communities.
Duties
- Operate and monitor water treatment using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of water treatment equipment, pumps, valves, and heavy machinery, performing maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, chemical levels, and system performance to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Follow safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to safety regulations, and participating in safety training sessions.
- Perform troubleshooting on water treatment processes, adjusting controls to optimize system efficiency while maintaining environmental compliance.
- Assist with preventive maintenance schedules, equipment repair tasks, and basic math calculations necessary for accurate data collection and system adjustments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating water treatment equipment and industrial pumps preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and automation technology used in water utilities. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, operate heavy equipment confidently, and conduct plumbing repairs when necessary.
- Excellent analysis skills for interpreting data related to water quality metrics and system performance indicators.
- Basic math skills essential for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Experience working in the energy & utilities sector is highly desirable for understanding sector-specific safety procedures and operational standards.

Pay: $16.64 - $18.00 per hour
