Duties
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment including mowers to ensure healthy turf and landscape aesthetics.
- Mow greens with walk-behind TORO mowers.
- Mow rough with ride-on rotary mowers.
- Perform regular lawn care, landscaping, and horticultural tasks to enhance the course’s visual appeal and playability.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting, manual handling of materials, and ground leveling to support ongoing maintenance projects.
- Maintain safety standards.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly for transporting tools, supplies, or team members around the course site.
- Support seasonal landscaping projects and ensure all grounds are kept clean, safe, and inviting for golfers and visitors.
Skills
- Knowledge of groundskeeping techniques specific to golf courses.
- Strong background in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture practices, and lawn care.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners along with power tools like trimmers and blowers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during equipment setup or landscape installation.
- Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, chainsaws, power tools, and landscaping machinery.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles or similar fleet vehicles responsibly.
- Knowledge of power tool safety standards combined with routine equipment maintenance skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of course quality.
While experience is not required, it is highly beneficial. Looking for someone who is comfortable completing tasks to an expected level of detail without having to be managed by a superior the whole time. Experience with golf specific equipment is important. If no experience, must be able to learn quickly and maintain high level of detail.
Pay will be based on experience and knowledge in the industry.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
