Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. This role involves providing on-site support and maintenance for various systems within manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, along with experience in electrical systems, plumbing and HVAC/R. general maintenance and repair knowledge. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of equipment and systems while delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in manufacturing facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems and HVAC/R units.
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot effectively.
- Maintain clear communication with your Supervisor regarding service updates and recommendations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial mechanics and maintenance practices.
- Proficient in electrical systems including high voltage, low voltage, and general electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with field service operations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English or Spanish.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing problems quickly and efficiently.
- Experience with industrial electrician tasks is a plus, including the use of ammeters and ohmmeters for testing electrical circuits.
