A healthcare facility in Peridot, Arizona is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a 13-week travel assignment. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, monitoring drug interactions, and providing patient counseling.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and safety
- Dispense prescription medications in accordance with physician orders
- Provide patient education on medication use, dosage, and potential side effects
- Monitor patient medication therapies and identify possible drug interactions
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy required
- Active Pharmacist license (Arizona preferred or ability to obtain)
- Previous pharmacist experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and knowledge of medication safety
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
