SUMMARY:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, routine maintenance and repair to pneumatic, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and CNC machines.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support the SPG safety program.

Perform and document routine preventative maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs and documents routine preventative maintenance on all machines per schedule.

Replenishes liquids as needed to maintain prescribed operating levels.
-
Checks and repairs broken lines and hoses and valves as needed. Determines and reports location of leak to supervisor for repair scheduling.

Cleans the screws and barrels on the presses and checks them for wear.

Reports out-of-tolerance conditions to supervisor for repair or replacement.
-
Trouble-shoots machine problems and reports findings to supervisor.

Repairs machines following supervisors’ guidelines.

Replaces viewing windows in presses as needed.

Repairs or overhauls portable equipment or components removed from machine.

Wires molds prior to installation into a press.
-
Assign daily work to subordinates.
-
Process Maintenance reports.

Maintain and order proper level of maintenance supplies.

Train employees on new procedures.
-
Assist manager with reviews as needed as well as disciplinary action.

Handle personnel issues.

Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hydraulic and electrical knowledge is required for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
