Job Summary
BCFC is a small, OMH Licensed, Article 31 MHOTRS program, community outpatient behavioral health clinic in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. We are seeking a licensed therapist (LMSW or LCSW). Bilingual Spanish, Urdu or Russian a plus. Salaried position from $68,000 up, depending on level of experience, with full benefits. Therapists must be able to provide Telehealth sessions remotely and in-person sessions in the office. The position requires 1-2 evenings and/or part of Saturday to see clients in the office but is flexible. The position includes full benefits and weekly supervision with an LCSW supervisor in a small, supportive, clinical environment. The clinic provides individual therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of diagnoses.
Duties
- - Provide individual and group therapy to clients with mental health and behavioral health concerns
- - Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans- Develop and implement treatment goals and interventions
- - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- - Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- - Stay current on best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of mental health counseling
- - Provide crisis intervention and support as needed- Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources
- Requirements
- Current licensure as an LMSW or LCSW with eligibility to practice independently in the state.
- Proven experience in outpatient mental health settings with a focus on psychotherapy and behavioral health interventions.
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices including CPT coding and ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10).
- Familiarity with EMR systems, HIPAA compliance, and medical records management.
- Expertise in working with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with diverse mental health conditions such as PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and psychiatric crises.
- Skills in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, patient assessment, and case management.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a positive attitude focused on patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for delivering empathetic mental health services in a fast-paced environment.
