Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
- Provide medical administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Support emergency medicine practices by responding promptly to urgent patient needs.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians in various settings including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Facilitate patient education on treatment plans and follow-up care.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
- Familiarity with hospital medicine practices, particularly in inpatient settings or clinics.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not mandatory.
