Job Description
We are looking for hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented Stewards and Cleaning Crew members to keep our high-end supper club kitchen and historic mansion impeccably clean. In this role, you are the backbone of our daily operations—ensuring our culinary team has pristine equipment, our dining spaces shine, and our historic property is maintained to the highest standards of hospitality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Sanitation & Dishwashing: Operate and maintain commercial dish machines, manually wash pots, pans, and specialty glassware, and ensure all kitchenware is sanitized and restocked rapidly during peak service.
- Station Cleanliness: Maintain spotless station standards throughout the shift, including proper disposal of waste, sweeping, mopping, and adherence to all health and safety codes.
- Property Care & Reset: Assist with deep cleaning, polishing historic fixtures, and resetting dining or common areas between service shifts, weekend brunches, and private events.
- Cross-Department Support: Work closely with the culinary and innkeeping teams, stepping in willingly to help with heavy lifting, inventory receiving, or general property upkeep when needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a dishwasher, utility steward, or commercial cleaner in a fast-paced restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred, but a strong work ethic is our top priority.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle the physical demands of a high-volume kitchen and estate.
- Reliability & Punctuality: Absolute dependability with a strong sense of personal accountability—our team and guests rely heavily on you keeping things running smoothly.
- Standards-Driven: High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a pristine, sanitary environment.
Supper Club Dynamics, Dress Code & Service Standards:
- Understanding of the rigorous sanitation standards required when supporting both fine dining culinary execution and delicate bar/cigar lounge upkeep.
- Respect for a historic property setting, ensuring that all cleaning and maintenance protocols preserve the luxury aesthetic of the estate.
- Dress Code & Uniform: Clean, professional presentation is strictly required. Strict adherence to required uniform compliance will be discussed and enforced upon hire.
